C. J. (Lum) Wilson, 83, a retired Montgomery County farmer, died at
10 p.m. Monday at Culver Hospital, where he had been a patient for three
days. Death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Wilson was born Jan.
3, 1876, at Attica, the son of James and Sarah Wilson. He was married in
1897 to Lora Watts at Wingate. He was a member of the Mt. Zion EUB
Church. The survivors include a son, Clayton Wilson, near
Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Esther Henderson, near
Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Ethel Carson, Tangier; three grandchildren and
six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Rev. John Servies and Rev.
Henry Karg will be in charge. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery north
of Elmdale. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. - transcribed by kbz
